Dan Durbin, Ed.D

As a 35-year veteran of education, Dr. Daniel (Dan) Durbin is a national award-winning educator, administrator, consultant, and change agent. He has earned numerous distinctions and awards, including Indiana State Teacher of the Year, National Teacher of the Year finalist, a recipient of the National Forensic Educator Award, and the Milken Family National Educator Award. Dan is an inductee of the Forensic Coaching Hall of Fame and has been recognized for his efforts in education with Indiana’s prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash.

Dr. Durbin’s skills have been utilized to lead both public and private organizations through the process of collaborative visioning, planning, project management, and project review. His expertise in organizational development, programming, collaborative management, and public relations has made him a professional resource for school districts, small businesses, and nonprofits across the United States. Durbin is recognized as an inspirational, motivational, and informative conference speaker and has made major presentations across the United States and South America.

Dan is a graduate of Indiana State University in Communication. He earned a Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision and a Doctorate in Leadership with an emphasis on Organizational Development from Oakland City University.

Dr. Durbin is presently serving as the Executive Officer and CEO of the Mark Bookman Foundation.

He is married to the former Angela Will. They have three adult children: Hannah (31), Luke (29) and Will (26)
